Baked Seafood Platter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. catfish fillets
    1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
    1/2 lb. crabmeat
    1 c. onions, chopped
    1/4 c. bell pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. celery
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can Cheddar cheese soup
    1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes, minced
    1/2 c. butter-flavored shortening, divided
    garlic powder to taste
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Saute catfish in shortening just long enough to keep it from falling apart.
    Place fish in a 12 x 18-inch baking dish.
