One Layer Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. pecans, chopped
    1 (No. 303) can applesauce
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. soda
    2 c. flour
    1 c. blackberry jam
    1 c. seedless raisins
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    1/2 c. oil
Preparation
    Mix egg, sugar and oil.
    Mix together flour (save out 1/4 cup), soda, cloves, cinnamon and allspice.
    Add salt.
    Mix dry ingredients alternately with applesauce.
    Add nuts and raisins which have been coated with the 1/4 cup flour.
    Last, add jam. Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch oblong pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour, or until done.
    Spread on caramel icing.
