Fruited Wild Rice Pilaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1-1/4 c. hot water
3/4 c. uncooked wild rice
1-1/2 tsp. chicken bouillon granules
1 small red apple, chopped
2 Tbsp. chopped pecans, toasted
1/4 tsp. grated lemon peel, optional
Preparation

In a large saucepan, saute onion and celery in butter until tender. Stir in the water, rice and bouillon; bringing to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 50-55 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender. Remove from the heat; fold in the apple, pecans and lemon peel if desired.
