Autumn Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. ground round beef
    2 c. chopped onion
    2 qt. hot water
    2 c. carrots, cut up
    2 c. celery, cut up
    2 c. potatoes, cut up
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 cubes beef bouillon
    2 bay leaves, crushed
    pinch of basil
    1 large can tomatoes or juice
Preparation
    Brown ground beef.
    Add chopped onions and cook 5 minutes more.
    Drain.
    Add water, vegetables, salt, pepper, beef bouillon, bay leaves, basil and tomatoes.
    Cook until vegetables are tender.
