Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. corn meal
1/3 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
2 Tbsp. melted shortening or oil
1 egg, well beaten
Preparation

Mix first 5 ingredients and sift together.
Add remaining ingredients.
Bake in shallow buttered pan (8 x 8-inch) in a 425\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes.
