Imo Lou Evans'S Steamed Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sweet milk
    1 c. sour milk
    3 c. cornmeal
    1 c. flour
    1 egg
    3/4 c. molasses
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 box raisins or 1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Mix the first 8 ingredients.
    Add raisins or nuts.
    Fill to 2/3 of top of greased cans.
    One-pound coffee cans work well. Close lids tightly.
    Place on trivet over 1 inch of boiling water. Cover steamer tightly.
    Steam 2 hours.
    Remove from can.
    Cut with a thread.
