Christmas Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. lemon-lime Kool-Aid
    2 qt. water
    2 c. sugar
    1 large can pineapple juice
    64 oz. ginger ale
    1/2 gal. lime sherbet
Preparation
    Combine Kool-Aid, water and sugar in a large punch bowl.
    Stir until Kool-Aid is completely dissolved.
    Add pineapple juice and ginger ale.
    Stir for 1 minute.
    Place lime sherbet, in scoop form, on top of punch.
