Easy Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. round steak
1 1/2 tsp. meat tenderizer
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. chopped cooked tomatoes
1/4 c. chopped onions
dash of pepper
Preparation

Sprinkle tenderizer on both sides of steak. Set aside.
Melt shortening in skillet over medium heat.
Add steak.
Cook over medium heat until both sides are browned.
Stir in remaining ingredients and cover.
Reduce heat to low.
Simmer for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Yields 4 to 6 servings.
