Nutcracker Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped pecans
    10 crushed saltine crackers
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until foamy.
    Add cream of tartar.
    Beat in sugar until stiff peaks form.
    Fold in crackers, nuts and vanilla. Pour into a
    greased 9-inch pie pan.
    Bake 40 minutes at 325\u00b0.
