Sweet And Sour Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. flour
    salt and pepper, to taste
    2 lb. beef stew meat, cut in 1-inch cubes
    1 large onion, chopped
    3 carrots, cut in 3/4-inch pieces
    1/4 c. oil
    1/2 c. ketchup
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
    3/4 c. water or beef bouillon
    Worcestershire sauce, if desired
Preparation
    Coat meat with seasoned flour; brown meat and onion in hot oil. Combine ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, water and Worcestershire sauce. Stir into browned meat. Cover and cook over low heat for 45 minutes; stirring occasionally. Add carrots and more water, if needed. Cook another 45 minutes. Serve over rice or noodles.
