Country Club Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. squash, sliced
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 chopped onion
    1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/3 c. margarine
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Preparation
    Cook squash and onions
    in
    1/2 cup boiling water until tender.
    Drain and mash.
    Combine squash, sour cream, salt and pepper.
    Pour into a greased 2 quart casserole.
    Combine bread crumbs, cheese, butter
    and
    paprika.
    Sprinkle
    over
    squash. Top with bacon crumbs.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
