Minestrone Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 clove chopped garlic
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 (16 oz.) can whole or stewed tomatoes
    2 c. water
    1 c. chopped cabbage
    2 medium carrots, sliced
    1 bay leaf
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. elbow macaroni
    1 can Great Northern beans
Preparation
    Saute onion, celery and garlic in oil in large pan for 3 minutes.
    Stir in undrained tomatoes, water, cabbage, carrots, bay leaf, oregano, basil, salt and pepper.
    Bring to boil; cover and lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes or longer.
