Doris Archer'S Irish Plum Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. flour
2 level tsp. baking powder
1/2 lb. currants or raisins
1/2 lb. raisins or sultanas
2 (3 oz.) candy peel
1/2 lb. sugar
6 oz. butter or lard
2 eggs
a little milk (sour or fresh)
a jigger of liquor (rum is good)
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients; rub in butter.
Add other ingredients and make to a sticky consistency with milk.
Put in a greased 8-inch tin and bake for approximately 1 1/2 hours at 375\u00b0.
Reduce heat slightly after first 3/4 hour.
