Black Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped Vidalia onion
    2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1/2 tsp. crushed coriander seed
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/4 c. dry sherry
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed beef consomme
    2 cans black beans (do not drain)
Preparation
    Stir-fry onions and
    garlic
    in
    margarine
    in\ta large saucepan over moderate
    heat
    for
    about 10 minutes.
    Blend in herbs and sherry;
    heat
    2\tminutes.
    Then\tadd
    the remaining ingredients and
    simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, 1/2 to 3/4 hour, until
    flavors are well blended.\tLadle into soup bowls and serve.
