Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    3/4 c. oleo, softened
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Unwrap caramels and put in top of double boiler with evaporated milk.
    Heat to dissolve caramels.
    Prepare cake mix according to package directions, using oleo in place of oil. Grease and flour 9 x 13-inch pan.
    (Do not use spray oil.)
    Put 1/2 of cake mixture in pan and bake at 350\u00b0 until bubbly and puffy, about 10 to 12 minutes.
    Put the caramel and milk mixture on top of first cake layer, then nuts and chocolate chips.
    Cover with balance of cake mixture and bake 25 to 30 minutes.
    If desired, sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
