Key Lime Snow - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1/2 c. cold water
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 tsp. grated Key lime or lime peel
1/2 c. Key lime or lime juice
4 egg whites
Preparation

In a large bowl, sprinkle unflavored gelatin over cold water; let stand 5 minutes.
Stir in sugar until blended.
Add boiling water; stir until gelatin is completely dissolved (about 3 minutes).
Add lime peel and juice.
Chill until slightly thickened (about 15 minutes).
In a medium bowl, beat egg whites until stiff.
While beating gradually add gelatin mixture; beat until soft peaks form.
Spoon into 8 dessert cups.
Chill until firm (about 2 hours).
