Spareribs With Apples - cooking recipe

4 lb. country style spareribs
2 Tbsp. butter
1 small onion, chopped
3 c. apple juice
1/2 c. cider vinegar
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
4 large apples
Preparation

About 3 hours before serving, preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
In large shallow roasting pan, place ribs, meaty side up.
Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
Bake 45 minutes, uncovered.
