Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. beef stew meat, cut up
    6 c. water or more
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. celery
    2 cubes beef bouillon
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 c. finely cut carrots
    1/2 tsp. bay leaf powder
    1/2 c. chopped tomatoes
    1 c. chopped cabbage
    2 handfuls noodles or 1/4 c. barley cereal
Preparation
    Brown beef stew meat (optional) and cook in water.
    Add noodles or barley cereal at this time, until done.
