Turkey Wild Rice Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    3 Tbsp. margarine or butter
    2 c. diced cooked turkey
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. long grain and wild rice mix
    5 c. water
    1 chicken bouillon cube
    1 c. broccoli flowerets
    1/2 c. coarsely shredded carrot
    1 c. half and half
    2 Tbsp. sherry (optional)
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Saute onion in margarine until crisp-tender.
    Add turkey, both packets from rice mix, water and chicken bouillon.
    Bring to a boil.
    Stir; cover and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender. Add broccoli and carrot.
    Cover and simmer 5 minutes more.
    Stir in half and half.
    Heat to serving temperature; do not boil.
    Stir in sherry, salt and pepper to taste.
