Cherry Bread And Butter Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 slices white bread
    butter
    cinnamon
    1 (10 oz.) jar cherry preserves
    4 eggs
    2 2/3 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Cut crusts from bread.
    Spread butter on one side of each slice.
    Arrange four slices in bottom of 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.
    Spread about 2 teaspoons of preserves on each slice.
    Repeat, making 2 more layers.
