Stirred Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 slightly beaten eggs
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 c. scalded milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine in a double boiler the eggs, sugar and salt. Gradually stir in milk.
    Cook in double boiler over hot water until mix coats the spoon.
    Add vanilla and chill.
