Grandma'S Black Walnut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter, at room temperature
1/4 c. Crisco
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
6 eggs, at room temperature
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. walnuts
3 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder and salt three times; set aside. Blend sugar, margarine and Crisco together.
Add eggs individually and beat with each one.
Beat until fluffy.
Put in flour mixture and milk a little at a time and blend.
Add lemon and vanilla. Flour walnuts to keep from sinking.
Stir in walnuts with spoon. Pour into greased and floured tube cake pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
