Overnight Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. regular or sugar free vanilla pudding
    1 (17 oz.) can chunk fruit, not fruit cocktail
    1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks, well drained, reserving liquid
    2 (11 oz.) can mandarin orange slices, drained
    3 bananas sliced, optional
    1-1/2 c. reserved pineapple juice
Preparation
    Cook pudding mix as directed on pkg. but use 1-1/2 c. of reserved pineapple juice instead of milk.
    When cool, fold in fruit and put in a glass bowl and refrigerate overnight.
    Add bananas just before serving.
