Never Fail Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour, sifted with 1 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
    milk (to mix)
Preparation
    Beat egg lightly in measuring cup.
    Finish filling the cup with milk.
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder into bowl.
    Work in shortening and mix with egg and milk, adding a tiny bit more milk if too stiff.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
