Beef Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. ground beef
1/4 lb. bulk pork sausage
1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
1/4 tsp. dried oregano
1 egg
2 Tbsp. oil
1 can beef gravy (14 oz.)
1 can stewed tomatoes (8 oz.)
3 c. potatoes, peeled and cut in 1-inch cubes
1 c. sliced carrots
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 bay leaf
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. frozen peas, thawed
Preparation

In medium bowl, mix thoroughly beef, sausage, bread crumbs, oregano and egg.
Shape into 12 meatballs.
In 4-quart saucepan over medium heat, in hot oil, brown meatballs on all sides.
Spoon off fat.
Add gravy, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, onion, bay leaf and pepper.
Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat to low.
Cover; simmer 25 minutes.
Stir in peas; cook 5 minutes more.
Remove bay leaf.
Makes 6 servings.
