Reduced-Fat Kentucky Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10-inch) low-fat pie crust, baked
    5 eggs, separated
    2 3/4 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cocoa
    3 c. 2% milk
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    In saucepan mix egg yolks, sugar and cocoa, then add milk. Cook and stir until very thick.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Beat egg whites until fluffy.
    Beat in 1 tablespoon sugar. Beat until stiff.
    Spread over filling.
    Broil for 1 minute, watching carefully until meringue is light golden brown.
    Chill.
