Boiled Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk, scalded
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    3 eggs
    dash of salt
    vanilla to taste
Preparation
    Stir sugar, flour, eggs and salt until well mixed.
    Use double boiler.
    Add mixture to scalded milk.
    Keep water boiling hot. Stir until custard coats spoon.
    Strain and add vanilla.
    Cool. This is a drinking custard.
