Grits Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 c. quick-cooking grits
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 c. plus 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    4 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
    Add the salt and pepper.
    Gradually stir in the grits.
    Lower the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 7 minutes.
    Remove from the heat and stir in the butter and 1 cup cheese.
