Easy Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground chuck or turkey
    1 c. onion, chopped
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans, undrained
    1 c. sliced carrots
    1 c. diced celery
    1/4 c. uncooked regular rice
    2 (16 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes or juice
    3 1/2 c. water
    5 beef bouillon cubes
    1 tsp. parsley flakes
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. basil, dried
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. green beans (frozen)
Preparation
    Cook meat and onion together until beef is brown, about 5 minutes.
    Drain
    off
    any
    fat.
    Add
    remaining ingredients, except green beans; bring to boiling.
    Reduce heat and simmer, covered, 40 minutes.
