Bacon And Filling Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. cubed bread
    2 eggs
    chopped onions (as desired)
    milk (to completely moisten)
    bacon strips
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients as for any filling.
    Lay 2 bacon strips crisscross on wax paper.
    With hands, form bread mixture into balls about size of fist and lay on bacon strips.
    Fold bacon around filling and fasten with toothpick, if desired.
    Lay side by side in pie plate or shallow baking dish and bake at 350\u00b0 about 1/2 hour.
    (Balls can also be put on broiler pan to bake so fat drains off.)
