Pretzel Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 c. coarsely crushed pretzels
    1 large can cherry pie filling
    8 oz. cream cheese
    2 (2 oz.) envelopes Dream Whip
    1/2 c. powdered sugar
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan.
    Add sugar and pretzels; blend lightly.
    Reserve 1 cup for top.
    Press remaining mixture in baking dish.
    Fold whipped topping into blended cream cheese and powdered sugar.
    Spread 1/2 the cream cheese mixture on crust, then cherry pie filling, then remaining cream cheese.
    Sprinkle remaining pretzels on top.
    Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours before serving.
