Mushroom Canapes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large onion
1 Tbsp. butter
12 oz. mushrooms, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 large (8 oz.) and 1 small (3 oz.) cream cheese
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. garlic powder or 1 chopped clove
1 loaf thinly sliced bread (Pepperidge Farm)
Preparation

Saute onion in butter until soft.
Chop mushrooms small (mixture should be spreadable).
Sprinkle with pinch of salt and butter.
Mix cheese with Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder (or fresh chopped garlic).
Spread filling on slices of bread and make sandwich.
Cut into serving size pieces and grill (as grilled cheese sandwiches).
Cut in fourths or larger (to taste).
