Chewy Macaroon Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs, separated
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. milk
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1 c. flaked coconut
1 pie shell
Preparation

Beat egg yolks and salt together.
Add sugar, 1/2 cup at a time; blend well.
Beat in milk, butter, lemon juice and almond extract.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Fold egg whites and coconut into egg yolk mixture.
Pour into frozen pie shell.
Bake on cookie sheet at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until knife inserted in rim comes out clean.
