Velvet Almond Fudge Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. slivered almonds
    1 pkg. chocolate fudge pudding and pie filling (4 servings)
    3/4 c. light corn syrup
    3/4 c. evaporated milk
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/2 c. chocolate chips, melted
Preparation
    Prepare pie crust and set aside.
    Chop almonds and toast at 350\u00b0 for 3 to 5 minutes.
    Set aside.
    Blend together until smooth, pie filling mix, corn syrup, milk, egg and chocolate.
    Add almonds and pour into pie crust.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 45 minutes or until top is firm and begins to crack.
    Cool at least 4 hours. Serve with whipped topping.
