Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 oz. red food coloring
    1 tsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and add sugar.
    Add eggs and beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla.
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Add to mixture alternately with buttermilk, food coloring and vinegar. Pour into two greased 8-inch layer pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
