Lemon Custard Meringue Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. butter
    5 Tbsp. flour
    3 egg yolks (save egg whites)
    1/3 c. fresh lemon juice
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    8-inch baked pie shell
Preparation
    Cream sugar, salt and butter.
    Add flour and mix until smooth. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each one.
    Add lemon juice, then gradually stir in milk.
    Cook in double boiler on medium heat until thick.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Top with meringue.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Gradually add sugar.
    Put on top of pie.
    Bake until light brown in 350\u00b0 oven.
