Date Fingers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. Rice Krispies
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Blend sugar, butter, egg and dates over low heat for about 10 minutes.
    Add vanilla, nuts and Rice Krispies.
    Mix well.
    Let stand long enough to cool.
    Cut and roll in nuts or coconut.
