Best Nut Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 c. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 beaten egg
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. lite oil or applesauce
    3/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Combine egg, milk and salad oil.
    Applesauce can replace oil in all recipes calling for oil or shortening.
    Add to dry items; beat well and add nuts.
    Turn into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 1 to 1 1/4 hours or until done.
    Remove from pan.
    Cool on rack.
