Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. corn meal
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
salt
1 tsp. baking powder
chopped onions

Preparation

Mix corn meal, salt and baking powder.
Stir in buttermilk and egg.
When well mixed, add onions.
Drop by teaspoon into hot grease.
Dip spoon in water between each hush puppy.
Serves 4.
