Gumdrop Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. raisins, cut fine
    1/2 c. nuts, cut fine
    1/2 lemon
    3/4 c. milk
    1 small pkg. gumdrops, sliced and black ones removed
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar and eggs.
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder.
    Reserve 1/2 cup of mixture to mix with raisins and gumdrops.
    Add vanilla to milk.
    Add flour mixture alternately with milk to the first mixture.
    Add floured gumdrops, raisins and nuts.
    Bake in large, greased loaf pan at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours. Keeps well.
