Potato Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. sliced potatoes
    3 c. minced onions
    5 to 6 slices bacon
    2 c. water
    1 c. milk
    salt, pepper and butter to taste
Preparation
    Boil potatoes.
    Pour off water and save.
    Mash potatoes.
    Fry bacon crisp.
    Remove and fry onions in drippings.
    Remove and add to mashed potatoes.
    Add potato water, milk, butter and seasonings.
