Yellow Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter
2 1/2 c. sugar
8 eggs
4 c. sifted plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter.
Add sugar, one cup at a time and cream well. Add eggs, two at a time, creaming well.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt, then add to batter, mixing well.
Add lemon and vanilla.
Pour batter into a tube cake pan.
Bake in preheated oven 40 minutes at 275\u00b0.
Then turn heat to 300\u00b0 and bake 50 to 60 minutes longer.
