Ingredients

4 eggs
2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Beat eggs with\trotary\tbeater\tin top of double boiler just until blended.
Blend
in
brown sugar and butter.\tPlace over rapidly
boiling
water,
stirring\tconstantly
until hot (about 5 minutes).
Remove from heat.
Sift together flour and baking powder.
Add
all
at once to cooked mixture; mix until well blended.
Stir
in\tchopped nuts.
Turn into well-greased and lightly floured 13\tx
9-inch pan.\tBake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
Serve with ice cream or whipped cream or sprinkle with sifted powdered sugar while still warm.
