Sweet And Sour Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium red cabbage
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. vinegar
1/4 c. brown sugar
Preparation

Cook bacon.
Cook onion in bacon drippings.
Add cabbage (cut in quarters), salt, pepper and water.
Cook on low for 10 minutes. Add vinegar and brown sugar.
Cook 15 to 20 minutes more.
Add crumbled bacon.
You may add a tart sliced apple the last 15 minutes if desired.
