Wilted Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head lettuce
1 medium onion
6 strips bacon
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 or 3 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation

Tear lettuce into bite-size pieces.
Chop onion and toss together with lettuce.
Meanwhile, cook bacon until crisp.
Remove from pan.
Drain on paper towel.
Mix 1/2 cup vegetable oil with bacon drippings left in pan.
Add vinegar.
Heat and pour over lettuce and onion.
Serve immediately.
