Golden Nugget Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
    1/3 c. chopped green pepper
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 egg, beaten
    1/3 c. catsup
    16 3/4-inch cubes sharp Cheddar cheese
    3 Tbsp. lard or drippings
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
Preparation
    Combine ground
    beef,
    bread
    crumbs,
    green pepper, dry mustard, garlic salt, salt, pepper, egg and catsup;
    shape into 16 balls (3 to 4 tablespoons per ball).
    Place a cheese cube in center,
    shaping
    meat
    around.
    Brown in lard;
    pour off drippings.
    Add
    tomato sauce, cover tightly and simmer 20 minutes. Remove
    cover
    and
    continue simmering 5 to 10 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened.
