Buttery Cinnamon Skillet Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. butter
    1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    4 medium cooking apples, cored and cut in half (unpeeled)
Preparation
    In 10-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes.
    Stir in sugar and cornstarch.
    Mix well.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Cover and cook over medium heat, spooning sauce over apples occasionally, until apples are fork-tender and sauce is thickened (12 to 15 minutes).
