Penuche - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
3/4 c. milk
2/3 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Combine sugar, butter and milk and cook, stirring only until sugar is dissolved and a little dropped in cold water forms a soft ball (238\u00b0).
Remove from heat; cool to lukewarm, then beat until mixture begins to hold its shape.
Stir in walnuts and turn into greased pan about 3/4-inch thick.
Cut into squares when firm.
