Sesame-Cheddar Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sifted unbleached flour
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. each vegetable shortening and cold unsalted margarine, cut into bits
    1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    2/3 c. skim milk
    1 large egg white
    2 Tbsp. sesame seeds
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Grease a large baking sheet.
    In a large bowl stir together the flour, cornmeal and baking powder. Add the shortening and butter and blend with your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
    Mix in the cheese.
