Apple Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. oatmeal
    1 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. butter, melted
    1 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 1/4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Put first 4 ingredients in a bowl and mix for pie crust.
    Pat about 3/4 of this mixture into 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
    Reserve balance of mixture for topping.
